Ejnana Trust brings out a Technology Glossary

Ejnana Trust had, in September 2016, first proposed the idea of preparing a glossary of technology terms in Kannada. Intention of this proposal was to help technology enthusiasts, and students taking up competitive exams in Kannada medium. Kannada Abhivruddhi Pradhikara (Kannada Development Authority), Govt. of Karnataka kindly agreed to support this project and the work began in March 2017.

A team consisting of members from Ejnana Trust and Kannada Development Authority worked on this project, and ‘Computer-Tantrajnana Padavivarana Kosha’ (Computer - Technology Glossary) with explanation for more than 300 words was prepared in both print and digital versions. Chief minister of Karnataka Sri Siddaramaiah released the glossary in a function held at Vidhana Soudha on October 31, 2017.

In addition to the print version, the glossary is also available online through, a website created and maintained by Ejnana Trust. The content has been released under Creative Commons license (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) so that it can be used freely by anyone for non-commercial purposes. Bharatavani, an online knowledge portal promoted by the Govt. of India has already incorporated this glossary on its website under this license.
